Session outline:
This presentation will provide participants with an overview of youth gang activity in Alberta.
The students at J.A. Williams School will be attending a similar session with Cst. Clarke on
November 26, 2009. The purpose of these presentations is to facilitate dialogue about Gang
Activity between parents/caregivers and their children.
Participants will be:
• Provided with an overview of how gangs are structured in Alberta.
• Able to discuss the realities of gang life, how they work, and dispel the myths.
• Able to discuss risk and protective factors (warning signs).
This presentation is FREE however; we ask that you pre-register in order to ensure
adequate seating.
