Bonjour à la maison!
Le début des classes approche à grand pas, soit le 31 août et je veux vous informer au sujet de la rentrée scolaire 2010-2011 :

1. Les horaires des élèves du secondaire
Continuer d’offrir une grande variété de cours dans les différents domaines
de cours complémentaires continue d’être un de nos buts cette année.Voici
un survol des résultats de planification:
On continue avec le cycle de 6 jours
Les niveaux sont jumelés pour offrir des options, libérant deux ou trois
enseignants permettant ainsi à nos élèves un plus grand choix de cours
complémentaires.
Les élèves de la 7e, 8e et 9e seront semestrés, préférences des élèves ainsi
que nos enseignants.
Les élèves de la 10e année suivront le cours de religion 10 obligatoirement
pour 3 crédits.
S’il n’y a qu’un élève en biologie 30, le cours se donnera à distance.
Les élèves de la 10e, 11e et 12e année seront semestrés assurant un bon
équilibre dans l’administration des examens du diplôme.
Les choix de cours se feront lors de la première journée d’école

4. l’intimidation : Le thème de la rentrée et de toute l’année!L’intimidation…
c’est un problème qui concerne tout le monde!a.
Dès la première journée d’école, il y aura des rencontres avec les différents groupes d’âges pour faire une présentation power point qui aura pour but de réviser la signification de l’intimidation.
b. Le programme de conséquences sera expliqué et mis en œuvre sur le champ.
Voici le programme, si vous avez des commentaires ou suggestions à y apporter, communiquez avec moi avant le 31 août.
1re infraction:
• Excuses verbales présentées à l'intimidé

2e infraction:

* En devoir à la maison, recherche informative au sujet de l'intimidation avec
participation et signature des parents

3e infraction:

• Suspension à l’interne

Nous serons là pour vos enfants, les guidant dans leurs apprentissages et vous chers parents ne vous gênez pas de venir nous voir et vous renseigner aux sujets des accomplissements de vos enfants. Impliquez-vous dans les comités! Il y a le Conseil des parents ou la communication se passe en français et il y a aussi la SPEF ou la communication se passe en anglais. Dear parents,
The new school year is approaching at an incredible pace, August 31 will be the welcoming day! Therefore, I’m sending you some important information before classes begin.

1. The class schedules for the grades 7 to 12
One of our main goals, again this year, is to offer a wide variety of complementary courses. Following is an overview of the results of our planning:
We will keep on with the 6 days cycle which allows more flexibility and a constant timetable
The 3 credits courses will be offered every 2 days of the semester
Some grade levels are combined to make it possible to offer more options, this liberates a few staff members, therefore making it achievable to offer a better variety of complementary courses
The grades 7, 8 and 9 will also be semestered this year, this is the choice of preference by both students and teaching staff.
The grade 10 class will follow a mandatory Religion 10 course for 3 credits
If there is only 1 student in Biologie 30, the course will be done through Distance Learning.
The grades 10, 11 and 12 students will keep on being semestered, thus assuring a good equilibrium in the administration of the Diploma exams.
For the students who are interested, the Cours de Leadership will be offered by Francophonie Jeunesse de l’Alberta during weekends. This course if presented to the students in grades 10, 11 and 12.
The students will be choosing their courses on the first school day.
The students at the elementary level will be receiving their timetable on the first day of school, August 31.

Will be operating 4 days a week Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
First day of school: Monday, September 13, 2010
Hours will be from 8:45 to 11:45
4. Bullying – this is one of the main issues that will be dealt with throughout the school year
Bullying is a problem which concerns everyone!
From day one we will be having presentations for all age groups. The goal of the Power Point presentations will be to emphasis the meaning of bullying and what it does to the individuals.
The handling of consequences will be explained and will be adhered to from the very beginning.
Following are the details of the program that will be followed. If you have any comments, concerns or suggestions, please contact me before August 31.
1st infraction
The offender will excuse himself/herself verbally to the victim.
The parents will be contacted by telephone.
2nd infraction
The offender will excuse himself/herself verbally to the victim.
The parents will be contacted by telephone.
The offender will have to research and complete an assignment on the subject of bullying, this with the involvement and the signature of the parents.
The concerned student will present his/her assignment to principal.
3rd infraction
The offender will excuse himself/herself verbally to the victim.
The parents will be contacted by telephone.
The offender will have to research and complete an assignment on the subject of bullying, this with the involvement and the signature of the parents.
The concerned student will present his/her assignment to principal.
The offender will get an internal suspension.
5. Academic evening and general meeting
We will be having an Academic evening along with a general annual meeting on Thursday, September 23 at 18:00.

We will be there for your children, guiding them in their learning. And you, dear parents, do not hesitate to contact us regarding your child’s accomplishments etc. Be active on our committees!! We have the Parent’s Council, which is conducted in French, and we have the SPEF (Society of Parents for French Education), the meetings are conducted in English if we have Anglophone parents on the committee. Watch for the meeting dates on our site! Last but not least, if you want to reach me, you know where I am!
