Dear staff and Students of École Beauséjour:
On behalf of the Government of Alberta and the Ministry of Education, I want to share my congradulations for the Olympic Spirit Relay event held recently at your school.
I understand many of your students and some staff participated in a 42 kilometer relay inspired by the Olympic downhill ski race and the Olympic triathlon distance. Even more impressive is that participants ran the distance outside in January! What a wonderful way to engage students of all ages in the thrill and excitement of the 2010 Winter Games. Your event also celebrated how truly innovative and enthusiastic Alberta's students are. Congratulations to everyone who participated in this event!
